All Systems Go is a pop-punk band hailing from Delran, NJ, initially formed in July 2016 by four original members who had previously taken a musical hiatus. Their music is characterized by seamless vocal harmonies from their two singers, dynamic guitar work featuring fiery riffs and solos, lively bass lines, and energetic on-stage performances. Their unique sound fuses pop punk with classic rock and roll influences. After establishing themselves through local shows and distributing demos, the band released their debut album, "Garden State Skies," in January 2019, followed by an EP called "The Waiting Room." Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they successfully grew their online presence and returned to live performances in 2021 and 2022. In October 2022, they released their third album, "Non-Fiction," which showcased a refined cohesiveness in their sound, produced and recorded by Nik Bruzzese (of Man Overboard). Today, All Systems Go just released their new single, "The Lowdown," let's get into it.

In the words of All Systems Go: "All Systems Go's single "The Lowdown" mixes angsty lyrics with explosive riff-driven pop punk instrumentals, adding a touch of poppy Broadway danceability. Soaring vocals set a tone and energy akin to the music of Fall Out Boy, and Motion City Soundtrack. ASG aims to give listeners "the lowdown", as the track delves into the themes of giving self-destructing friends harsh truths and how they may or may not take these harsh truths to heart."

LONG STORY SHORT: All Systems Go's latest track, "The Lowdown," bursts with energetic vocals that grip your attention from the start. Backed by tight drumming and sharp guitar riffs, the song effortlessly channels the nostalgic energy of pop-punk. As the lyrics plead to get through to a seemingly unresponsive friend, the vulnerability shines through, with lines like "And I’m still wishing that you’ll come around/And now there’s nothing left that I can do/You just have to get through to you" The frustration of talking to a figurative brick wall is palpable in every note, especially when Pezza sings, "But you talk yourself in circles/We can’t keep having this conversation over and over again." At the 2:03 mark, the vocals take center stage before building up to a powerful and anthemic finale. "The Lowdown" evokes the spirit of the Vans Warped Tour, making it feel like a sonic journey to the peak of the pop-punk scene.
