After meeting at a local mic in Central Jersey (yes, it exists), Dave Cacciatore and Tom Losito have been creating music together ever since. What started as brief performances and touring, this duo quickly established themselves at the beginning of this year as Dave & Tom. The pair brings their own talents to the table but together can play an abundance of instruments, including guitar, bass, ukulele, saxophone, drums, and piano.
While this year has been unprecedented for all artists, Dave & Tom have not let this pandemic stand in their way of inspiration. When live (safe) shows were possible this summer, they reprised their role on the stage, seamlessly gliding through genres; when it was not feasible, they sang on our screens, creating harmonious ear candy often familiar to the Beach Boys. This musical match is also not strangers to giving back, participating in ‘Demos for a Difference’ where all proceeds donated to NAACP and more recently featured in ‘12 Days of Covers on behalf of Grace Community Services,’ an organization that helps feed families during the holiday season. Although the duo is known for their weekly covers, they’ve also begun working on original music, releasing their first demo, ‘Cherry’ in April, complete with twangy guitar and exchanging melodies.
Dave & Tom are currently working diligently on their much-anticipated debut album that they are planning to release in 2021. Meanwhile, you can listen to their latest release, “Merry X-Mas (War Is Over)” by John Lennon!
LONG STORY SHORT: The only thing cuter about this duo is if Dave’s name was Jerry. Together, Dave & Tom create euphonious harmonies and killer covers; excited to see what’s in store for their debut album!
