In the words of Karen Harding: "I wanted to get across that lightbulb moment when you finally see somebody for who they are, outside of the pedestal you've given them. It's all about realizing the beauty and vulnerability in our shared human experience."

LONG STORY SHORT: Karen Harding's new single, "Stranger On A Pedestal," features a gentle acoustic melody that sets the stage for a powerful chorus where she sings, "You are just a stranger on a pedestal/held you up so high/the fall was inevitable." The poignant bridge and reflective verse, "I was caught up in your spell/your illusion had me fell/ I saw what I wanted to see/ and I missed the sense to tell," delve into the theme of realizing that even those we look up to are human. The track thoughtfully explores the disillusionment that comes with recognizing the imperfections of those we've placed on pedestals. It's refreshingly simple stylistically and contemplative lyrically.
