Eric Kendall, also known by his artist name, Busking Around, gets On The MIC this week to perform a very unique stitch of Paul Simon's "Kodachrome." This unique episode is a must-watch!
Why Busking Around Rocks:
always wanted to be either "…a happy old man!" or "…a street performer!" when he grew up
during the day enjoys he's an Innovation Manager in Detroit
as an indie artist and producer, he says he, "capture[s] moments one song at a time"
sums up his style as, "authentic vocals and lyrics paired with a genre-curious cello, creatively blended with found sounds"
Why Busking Around chose "Kodachrome"
"Kodachrome is one of those songs that grabbed me the first time I heard it, and never let me go. I always loved how the lyrics could be interpreted in multiple ways, and I thought it would be fun to capture a slightly different feeling than the original arrangement. As this song is pure nostalgia for me, I arranged it to focus on those feelings as best I could, while trying to stay true to the love-of-life essence of the original."
